Ванклостер Ален

Ален Ванклостер (1962, Брюссель) – бельгійський поет-оповідач, учасник і організатор мистецьких перформансів. Автор семи книг – збірок поезії і короткої прози.
У 2017 році Ален познайомився з українською письменницею Любов’ю Сиротою, яка постраждала внаслідок ядерної катастрофи в Чорнобилі. Тоді ж Ален відвідав Національний музей Чорнобиля в Києві, де зустрівся із членами ГО «Інвалідів-чорнобильців Земляки».
Він був настільки вражений їхніми свідченнями, що вирішив для себе дослідити тему глибше. Так з’явилася серія із 27 віршів, присвячених подіям у Чорнобилі у 1986 році.
Ідея про зв'язок із Пітером Брейгелем Старшим (Фламандським художником 16 ст.) виникла, коли Ален побачив картину українського художника Георгія Сенченка «Сакральний пейзаж Пітера Брейгеля» (1988) у Pinchuk Art Centre у Києві. Георгій Сенченко зробив ідеальну копію малюнка Брейгеля "Бджолярі", тільки збільшену в сто разів і в кольорі.
Твір Георгія Сенченка надихнув Алена Ванклостера встановити зв'язок кожної з 27 поезій цієї збірки із творами Пітера Брейгеля і він створив серію ілюстрацій до віршів, узявши за основу твори Брейгеля.
У збірці «Прісний сир з полином. Cream cheese with wormwood» («Plattekaas met alsem») втілюється мрія Алена Ванклостера видати свою розповідь про Чорнобильську трагедію українською мовою.

Alain Vanclooster (1962, Dilbeek) is a poet-narrator and performerorganizer. He published a.o. Liever is een haas (2011), Alena van Dilbeek (2012), Ik, Christoforus van Canaan (2014) and van Aai tot Zoet (2019). He performed at various locations in Brussels and Dilbeek.
In 2016 he met the Ukrainian writer Lyubov Sirota (1956, Ivankiv), a victim of the nuclear disaster in Chornobyl (April 26th, 1986). She was evacuated from the nearby city of Pripyat. After reading her book The Pripyat syndrome he went to visit her in Ivankiv (halfway between Kyiv and Chornobyl). He visited the Chornobyl National Museum in the Ukrainian capital and met volunteers from the Zemlyaki relief organization in the Troyesjsjina district across the Dnipro river.
Alain Vanclooster was so impressed with all these testimonies that he made further research and read various books and articles about Chornobyl. This investigation finally resulted in a series of 27 poems. The link with Pieter Bruegel the Elder (16th century) was made after seeing the painting Sacral landscape of Pieter Bruegel (1988) in the Pinchuk Art Center in Kyiv.
Artist Georgii Senchenko (1962, Kyiv) made a perfect copy of Bruegel’s drawing The Beekeepers, albeit 100 times larger and in colour. His work depicts the fall of the communist Soviet Union after the nuclear disaster and the hope for a new world. Especially in the eighties of the twentieth century, he worked on postmodern art forms and performances, together with his friend Arsen Savadov.
The work of Georgii Senchenko inspired Alain Vanclooster to explore the relationship between each of his 27 poems to the works of Pieter Bruegel. In the end, he made a drawing for each text, based on (a detail of) Bruegel’s work. More information about the author: www.alainvancloosterpoetry.com
